Jazmine Ruiz Bio
Jasmine Ruiz is a Nurse Practitioner at Padilla Family Medicine in Chula Vista. Born and raised in Chicago, Jasmine recently made the move to San Diego and has quickly embraced the California lifestyle. With six years of nursing experience, she decided to advance her career by becoming a Nurse Practitioner, earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in nursing from schools in Chicago.
Jasmine takes a holistic approach to patient care, focusing not only on physical health but also addressing mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. She works closely with her patients to identify and navigate any social barriers that may impact their health, believing that treating the patient as a whole is key to better outcomes.
Outside of the clinic, Jasmine enjoys spending her time exploring farmer’s markets, relaxing by the beach, and playing volleyball. Her goal is to partner with her patients, helping them live healthier, more balanced lives.

An APP (Advanced Practice Practitioner) is either a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. While doctors and APP’s differ in their education level, APP’s can diagnose, treat and coordinate care as a regular Primary Care Physician would.
Our doctors currently accept all insurance plans that our medical group, Regal accepts. However, as physicians’ patient panels become increasingly impacted, some physicians will only accept new Medicare Advantage patients only.
As a patient of Padilla Family Medicine, you’re welcome to see any provider within the group. All your medical records and chart notes are available to whichever provider you choose to schedule with, so if your doctor is unavailable, don’t worry! Our providers are here to make your care as cohesive as possible.
Becoming a new patient is easy! If you are 65+ and need help, please call our Patient Relations team at 951-225-6808. If you are not a senior or not on Medicare, you can call the office directly at (619)422-1324.
